Marissa and Chris’s intimate backyard wedding has to be one of my favorite’s I have photographed this year. Every detail was thoughtful and elegant and I honestly felt like part of the family by the end of the celebration!
Marissa and Chris met in August of 2016 at The Congress Tavern in Providence, Rhode Island. They immediately hit it off over a shared meatball grinder and French fries. In August of 2020 Chris proposed. When they went to visit their new home in Matunuck, Rhode Island once the purchase was complete, Marissa was met with a congratulatory sign, bottle of champagne and a large box that she thought came from the realtor. Upon open the box she found boxes within a box until she came to a small box from Baxter’s Jeweler’s. Chris got down on one knee and proposed!
When planning their wedding Chris and Marissa knew that they wanted to have it in the backyard of Marissa’s parents’ home in Narragansett, Rhode Island where Marissa had grown up. Marissa and Chris surrounded by their loved ones were married on June 26th, 2021 surrounded by their most cherished friends and family. I am so glad I got to be a part of their beautiful wedding day!
